Guillermo Guevara
Music producer, sound artist, and researcher. Throughout my career, I have ventured into the realms of electronic and experimental music, film scoring, and sound art. My educational background includes Music Composition and Arrangement, Film, and Communication Sciences studies.
Since 2008, I have uninterruptedly taught seminars at music production academies on Audio Synthesis, Harmony, and Film Scoring.
As a musician, I have consistently released albums, EPs, and collaborations in physical and digital formats since 2002. These works have brought me to perform live at festivals and solo shows across North America, Europe, and Asia.
My artistic and investigation endeavors focus on the affects and effects of sound on physical spaces and the human body, exploring its physical and cultural dimensions. In pursuit of these inquiries, I have explored sine waves, noise, and processed recordings from diverse sources and employed multichannel tools and analog/acoustic instruments.
Bosque Vacío is my latest joint venture with artist and researcher Leena Lee. This project aims to explore the interwoven correspondences of natures/cultures from the perspective of cohabitation. Our proposal creates environments by researching harmony and tone in sound and light.
Productor musical, artista sonoro e investigador. A lo largo de mi carrera, me he adentrado en los terrenos de la música electrónica y experimental, la composición cinematográfica y el arte sonoro. Mi formación académica incluye estudios de Composición y Arreglos Musicales, Cine y Ciencias de la Comunicación.
Desde 2008 me he mantenido activo ininterrumpidamente dando clases en academias de producción musical sobre Síntesis de Audio, Armonía y Film Scoring.
Como músico, he publicado álbumes, EP y colaboraciones en formato físico y digital desde 2002. Con diferentes proyectos me he presentado en vivo en festivales y shows individuales en Norteamérica, Europa y Asia.
Mis intereses artísticos y de investigación actualmente apuntan a los efectos del sonido en espacios físicos y el cuerpo humano, explorando sus dimensiones físicas y culturales, apartir del uso de ondas senoidales, ruido, grabaciones de campo y herramientas de espacialización multicanal.
Bosque Vacío es mi más reciente proyecto en conjunto con la artista e investigadora Leena Lee. Un trabajo colaborativo de construcción de ambientes sonoro-lumínicos que tiene como objetivo explorar las correspondencias entrelazadas de naturalezas/culturas desde la perspectiva de cohabitantes.
